Francis F. Valiquette, Sr 83 Addison

Francis F. (Fred) Valiquette, Sr 83, passed away Friday February 17 2023 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
                He was born April 2, 1939 in Burlington  son of Frederick J. Valiquette and Beatrice (Beaupre) Valiquette.
                Fred served in the US Army and the Vermont Army National Guard. He was employed with Lake Champlain Transportation Company where he performed maintenance and various deck hand tasks. In the  late 70’s and early 80’s he was employed with F.W. Webb as a industrial plumbing and heating warehouse manager and also with sondix plumbing supply Co.  In the 90’s he was a painting contractor and did apartment maintenance in Burlington.
                Fred Married Janice M. (Provost) and together they raised 5 children Janet, Cindy, Julie, Dennise and Fred. They also lovingly welcomed two foster children into their family, Sandra and Michael.
He enjoyed deer hunting watching football, basketball and boxing and was a avid mixed league bowler. He also enjoyed tinkering on cars. Fred was  very enthusiastic about playing bingo and remained so until his passing. Fred had a great sense of humor and was very caring to his family and friends.
                Fred was predeceased by his wife  Janice m. Valiquette, his daughters Janet  Vanderhulst, Dennise Rule, Cindy LaFrance, Foster Daughter Sandra Niles, Granddaughter Nina Foster and Great granddaughter Payton Cram. He was the last surviving member of his sibling, seven sisters and two brothers.
              He is survived by his daughter Julie and Tom Gould of Addison, son Francis F Valiquette, Jr and partner Heather Kandzior of Salisbury, Foster son Michael Cameron of Tennessee, thirteen grand children and 17 great grand children; Sons in law, Alan LaFrance of Monkton, and many nieces and nephews.
              A Graveside service will be held June 3, at 11 a.m., at the North Ferrisburgh Cemetery, on Old Hollow Rd with a celebration of life cookout follow at 2916 Rte 22a Addison, Vt.
