Georgia Alda (Clark) Vaughan

Georgia Alda (Clark) Vaughan, 85, of Vergennes, born April 3rd, 1937 in Tupper Lake, NY, to George and Lila Clark, passed away peacefully on October 26th, 2022, surrounded by her family. Georgia was pre-deceased by her former husband, Donald Vaughan and brother Thomas and is survived by her sister, Louella, and brother, George.

She was the beloved mother of Meg Danielson (husband Bob), Ross Vaughan (life partner April), Jenny Smith (husband Kent), Tom Vaughan, (wife Robin), and Shelley Bryant (husband Matt). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and many much loved nieces, nephews, and extended family.  Special thanks to all those who loved and cared for her.

Georgia was a remarkable woman and a devoted catholic. Her love of life was expressed through her dancing, reading, flirting, playing cards with her grandkids, laughing, and spending time with her friends and family.  She also loved to sing and dance with her soul-mate, Bob when she was young.

Georgia really knew how to love! She always found a way to make everyone around her feel special and unconditionally loved and everyone that met her knew immediately how generous she was with her love & affection.  She had a hug for everyone, it didn’t matter who you were! She brightened the room with her beautiful smile and great sense of humor.  She was a strong woman who made an impact on so many people’s lives. She treasured her family and friends. She left a mark, wherever she went.

We love you so much, miss you and think of you daily.  Thank you for all the ways you touched our hearts.  Thank you for creating our family and showing us the true meaning of unconditional love.

You’re so beautiful, my grandma, my momma, my Georgia!
