Reginald J. Swenor, 83, passed away Monday, November 1, 2021 at Helen Porter Health & Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury after a long illness.
He was born on April 28, 1938 in Whiting, the son of Stanley and Florence (Laduc) Swenor.
Past Commander and past County Commander of American Legion Post #19 and member of Addison County Eagles #3801
His hobbies were working on old tractors, hunting and golfing.
Reginald is survived by son Neil Swenor (Vergennes), daughters Denise Rupp (Illinois), Cheryl Swenor (Illinois), Christy Proebe (Illinois); his companion Joanne Tanner and her family of Bristol, and her grandchildren, (Tucker, Garrett and Bridget who were close to him), his sisters Betty Audet (Bristol), Nancy Miller (Tom) of (Conn) and Patricia Lamoureux (Whiting); and uncle Allan (Bill) Laduc; his nieces and nephew and grandchildren.
Predeceased by his father and mother; brother Robert Swenor, brother-in-laws Magloire Audet and Real Lamoureux.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. on Friday November 5th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol, burial in the Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bristol American Legion Post 19 Scholarship Fund, 10 Airport Drive, Bristol, VT.
