Robert C. Barrows Sr., 94, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 at his home in Vergennes.
He was born December 7, 1925 in Vergennes. After graduating High School in 1944 he joined the Army Air Force. After the Army he attended UVM and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating he was hired by Simmonds Precision and worked there for 44 yrs.
He was predeceased by two sons (Skipper) Robert C. Barrows, Jr. and Thomas Barrows.
He leaves two daughters, Susan Button of Mississippi and Lynn M. Barrows of Addison. He leaves several nieces and nephews, many grand and great grandchildren.

Our most sincere sympathy is extended to Lion Bob’s family. From the time I joined the Vergennes Lions in 1964, Lion Bob always was a true gentleman always willing to help those in need.
I will miss my somewhat regular visits to see Lion Bob after his health (eating issues) kept him from attending regular dinner meetings. He often commented on how proud he was to have helped start the club in 1954.
He also often mentioned how much he enjoyed his weekly game nights with his daughter and son-in-law.
Rest In Peace Lion Bob. You deserve it!
