Irasburg Vermont has a town hall that is fortunate to be still standing. One year while playing town team baseball with Roland I remember him hitting a baseball so hard that hit the town hall that I thought it was going to fall down. A great athlete and friend who left us many memories!

To Lindy, Lori, Shelley, Greg and extended families,

I have known your family for a long time. As your babysitter, as your father’s student and sports player and as a swimming pool participant. He was totally involved in his community. May he find peace in being pain free and reunited with Sandra and his past relatives and friends. Carry in you heart, many fine memories. God Bless, Lu-Anne Ringer Mailloux

Dear Lindy, Lori, Shelley and Greg,

I want you to know that Roland has been a big part of my life in Vergennes. When I joined the VUHS staff in 1978, Roland and Sandy took me in and considered me family. Dinners, celebrations, Vergennes history and words of wisdom came from both of them. The Guyette family demonstrated the friendship and love that I have cherished in my 43 years in this wonderful community. Roland was kind, thoughtful, funny, honest and supportive. Roland is Mr. VUHS!!

I will be with all of you in spirit at the upcoming calling hours and memorial service. Meghan is getting married in Brookfield, VT on Saturday. All of the O’Daniels fondly remember Roland, and send their condolences. Sending you all hugs and prayers.

Dear Guyette Family:
Unfortunately we just today were made aware of Roland’s passing or we most certainly would have paid our respects to him in person. We both were privileged to have known Roland; Ralph as a colleague at VUHS and I having grown up in Woodsville- a place he held dear! Roland was one of the most dedicated teachers, supporters and genuine friend during his many years at Vergennes. Rest in Peace now with your beloved Sandy.
