    Bryan R. Ashley-Selleck Sr., 47, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at his home in Castleton.

     He was born May 2, 1968 in Middlebury the son of Roy and predeceased Holly (Provencher) Ashley Sr.

      Bryan greatly enjoyed spending his time outdoors fishing, hunting and bird watching with his children. Bryan spent years volunteering his time coaching youth wrestling in Middlebury, Vermont. He attended Middlebury Union High School and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after. He served seven years and completed one tour of combat duty in the Gulf War. Later in life, he attended college at CCV working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, to help other veterans. In the past several years, he spent much time traveling and healing with other veterans. 

     Bryan is survived by son, Bryan R. Ashley-Selleck II, daughter Amelia M. Ashley-Selleck, grandson Owen M. Ashley-Selleck, brothers Jeffery Selleck and Roy Ashley, Uncles Monte Provencher and Randy Provencher. 

     Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 4th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 5 to 8 p.m. A celebration of life will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 5th at Cross Roads Church in Ferrisburgh with a burial following at Lake View Cemetery in Shoreham. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Project Healing Waters or Camp Resilience, both Veteran outreach programs Bryan attended. The family requests no black clothing be worn to the services.
