Charles P. Stearns, 69, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born September 27, 1947 in Burlington the son of the late Elwin and Lucy (Ryder) Stearns.
He was an avid outdoorsman, farmer, and enjoyed socializing at the local diner, working at Job Corp and transporting the students.
Charles is survived by his two daughters Chris and James Metiver, Kim and Michael Fath; grandchildren Josh, Jessica, Bridget, Maria and Jason; a brother Rodney Stearns; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a brother Leonard (Sonny) Stearns.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, January 13th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 5 to 7 p.m.
