Diane McLean-Meacham, 68, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her home in Gansevoort, NY.
She was born March 29, 1949 in Berkshire the daughter of Harold and Ellen (Derosia) Pelkey.
Diane was first and foremost a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She truly loved time spent with them, whether in person or on the phone. A visit from or a talk to “Nana†was always a highlight for “her kidsâ€.
For the last decade Diane also devoted much of her free time rescuing and nurturing dogs in distress. It is through this type of caring and giving that she enriched the lives of those around her whether they had two legs or four.
Diane is survived by her two children, Michelle Meacham and Michael Meacham; nine grandchildren Matthew Morris, Brandon Meacham, Gregory Meacham, Logan Amell, Cole Richards, Ben Richards, Kayla Meacham, Nick Richards, Aiden Meacham; two great grandchildren, Brooklynn Amell and Parker Amell; her partner Edwin Austin Sr; two sisters June Smith and Joanne Lachappelle; three brothers Donald Pelkey, Ronald Pelkey, and Mike Pelkey; sister in law Grace Birchmore; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by a daughter Melissa Meacham, her husband Edward Meacham, three sisters Donna Rainey, Patricia Pelkey, and Pamela Briggs; a brother Harold Pelkey Jr.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 9th at West Addison Methodist Church from 11 a.m. up to the hour of the service. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Sunday at West Addison Methodist Church. Interment will be at Lake View Cemetery in West Addison.
