Douglas S. Latreille, 65, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Vermont Respite House in Williston.
He was born July 21, 1950 in Middlebury the son of Leonard and Beverly Douglas Latreille.
Douglas graduated from Mt. Abraham High School in Bristol. He retired from Vermont Army National Guard and was a member of American Legion Post #27 in Middlebury. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Douglas is survived by his wife Priscilla Latreille; two step children Kevin Howland and David Howland; five step grandchildren; son of the late Leonard Latreille and survived by his mother Beverly Latreille; four brothers, Paul and wife Sherly, Michel and wife Irene, Raymond and wife Jill, Sam and wife Tammy; four sisters Gisele Latreille, Jackie and husband Dan Henry, Estelle and husband Tom Genest, Claudette and husband Charles Foote; a step brother Mark Douglas; several nieces and nephews.
A gathering for family and friends for a celebration of life will be held at American Legion Post #27 in Middlebury on Sunday, February 28th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Townline First Response, Bridport, VT 05734 or American Legion Post #27, 49 Wilson Road, Middlebury, VT 05753.
