Gerald R. Rheaume Sr.,86, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 17, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born May 25, 1929 in Weybridge, VT to Alfred Aime and Irene Gertrude (Desrocher) Rheaume.
He joined the Army April 10, 1955 where he met his wife Ethel Louise Sederburg. They married May 5, 1956 in Kenmore, NY. After marriage, Gerald and Louise moved back to Vermont where they had two children and raised their family in Starksboro, VT.
Gerald is survived by his daughter Carol Faircloth and her husband David; two granddaughters Keri LaFramboise and her spouse Giles LaFramboise III and Nicole Faircloth; a great granddaughter Isabella LaFramboise all of Starksboro; his sister Shirley Lonchamp of Graniteville, VT ; his brother Kenneth Rheaume of Bristol, VT; his sister-in-law Betty Rheaume of Cornwall, VT and many nieces and nephews.
Gerald is predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Louise Rheaume, his son Gerald R. Rheaume Jr., his brother and sisters Lawrence, Yvonne and Betty Jane and his sister-in-law Esther Sederburg.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol from 6 to 9 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23rd at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Bristol. Interment will be in the spring.
