Hope Evelyn Atkins Burritt, 91 passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Green Mountain Nursing Home in Colchester.
She was born August 30, 1926 in Monkton the daughter of Thaddeus and Evelyn Morgan Atkins.
She was a member of Monkton Friends Methodist Church. She volunteered at Round Robin in Middlebury. She graduated from Bristol High School in 1944 and then graduated from Mary Fletcher School of Nursing in 1947 in the Cadet Program. She married Guy Burritt in 1947 and he predeceased her on September 6, 1984.
Hope is survived by two sons Mark Burritt and wife Michelle; Stanley Burritt and wife Bonnie all of Monkton; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a nephew James Atkins.
Predeceased by two sons, Steven Burritt and Reginald Burritt and a brother Norman Atkins.
A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 11th at Monkton Friends Methodist Church. Burial will be in the spring.
