Janet (Norton) Smith passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017 in So. Burlington, VT. She was born on April 3, 1926 to the late Ruth (Newman) and James C. Norton in Bristol, VT. Janet was predeceased by her husband, Robert Smith in 2015 as well as her brother, Robert Norton and sister, Betty Hasseltine. She is survived by her children, Garry Smith and Kathi Monteith (Gregory), grandchildren, Lew Smith (Lisa), Aaron Simmers (Lauren), Sarah Monteith and Lisa Monteith and very special great granddaughters Scarlett and Fiona Smith, Ruby Simmers and Leah Lovely.
Per Janet’s wishes there will be a casual graveside service and celebration with friends and family at the Greenwood Cemetery in Bristol, VT on Wednesday, July 26th at 11am with a luncheon to follow. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Pillsbury Manor South and VNA Hospice Care for their extraordinary care and compassion.
