JoAn M. (Whalon) Bachand passed away after a long illness on April 22, 2016.
She was predeceased by her parents James M. and Cecile E. Normandeau Whalon. Her loving husband Thomas E. Bachand I in 1991, and her son Thomas E. Bachand II in 2013. Her siblings James T. Whalon, John Whalon and Joyce Fisher.
She is survived by seven children and their spouses, Robert (Kathy) Bachand of Virginia, James (Laura) Bashand , Dawn Marie (Ricky) Sumner all of Vermont, Tina (John) Poirier of Pennsylvania, Dean (Malinda) Bachand, Stephen (Fayanne) Bachand , and Joanne Turano all of Vermont; 22 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters in law Donna Whalon and Mary Cross; brother in law Frank Cross.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes from 1 to 2 p.m. and a gathering (Pot Luck) after at Dawn Marie’s in Bridport. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden County, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446.
