Lois V. Osgood, age 96, passed away Monday August 22, 2016 in New Haven, VT at her caregivers.
She was born April 19,1920 in New Haven, VT to E. Vernon and Bertha Young. Lois married Donald Osgood in Saint Johnsbury, Vt on October 12, 1946. They moved to Vergennes in 1957. Don predeceased her in 1996. She was a homemaker, did daycare and was Gramma to many.
Lois is survived by her three children and their spouces, Richard and Charlotte Osgood of Florida, Diane and Henry Kandzior of Ferrisburg, and Marilyn and Wilbur (Bill) Devoid of Addison; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and the “family†she made throughout her life.
The family wishes to thank her caregivers and the Addison County Home Health and Hospice team who took care of her.
Memorial services will be held at the Vergennes Congregational Church on September 3, 2016 at 1:00. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery in Vergennes after the service and a reception at the Church following that. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Vergennes Congregational Church, 30 South Water Street, Vergennes, VT 05491 or Project Independence at Elderly Services, PO Box 581, Middlebury, VT 05753. Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Vergennes is in charge of arrangements.
