Patricia A. Baxter, 86, of Waltham, VT, died peacefully on March 21, 2016 at Helen Porter Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Middlebury, VT.
Born in the Bronx, New York, on March 14, 1930, she was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Dolan) Cawley.
Her husband, John, whom she married in 1954, predeceased her in 1990.
Patricia and John resided for many years in Kingston, NY. They also lived in North Carolina and New Jersey before coming to Vermont. Patricia had a long career as a legal secretary and was a member of the World Apostolate of Fatima.
Survivors include her brother, Thomas Cawley, of PA, sister, Margaret Freehily, of NJ; children, Kathleen Krayewsky, of Waltham, VT, John Baxter and wife Kathia, of NJ; grandchildren, Thomas Baxter, of CT, Richard Krayewsky and wife Kelly, of New Haven, VT, Matthew Krayewsky, of CA, Kate Nave and husband KC, of CA, and Joseph Krayewsky, of Waltham, VT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, Vergennes, VT. Private burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village, NY. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vergennes Area Rescue Squad, 106 Panton Rd., Vergennes, VT 05491.
