Patricia E. Smith,82, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.
She was born March 21, 1934 in Waltham the daughter of Richard and Vonda (Hallock) Sheldon.
She was an avid reader and she was open to various religions. She was a nurse for many years and graduated from Bennington College with a nursing degree in 1955.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 61 yrs. Harvey Smith; five children Theresa Allen and husband Doug, Christine Steadman and husband Thomas, Vonda Kropp and husband Paul, Kimberly Laurie and husband Shawn, and H. Kurtis Smith and wife Brenda; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; four sisters Gail Sheldon, Diana Parks, Connie Goodrich, Noreen Sheldon and four brothers Gary Sheldon, Keith Craig, John Sheldon and Harold Sheldon; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be at a later date.
