Robert (Hoover) Morris Sr., Passed away Tuesday February 2,2016 at University of Vt. Medical Center after a brief illness.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1922 Bristol, the son of Charles and Emma morris.
Robert retired in 1978 after 30 yrs. with the V.A. and I.R.S.
He was an avid Red Sox, Vt. expo, and St. Mikes basketball fan. Golf at Basin Harbor Club was his favorite pastime.
He was a member of St. Peters Church, K of C and American Legion of Vergennes.
Robert is survived by his three children: Melissa, Robert and wife Nina and Kevin and wife Shelly. 5 Grand Children: Eric, Aaron, Joshua Luc, Bethany and Jesse. 8 Great grand Children: Eric, Troy, Emily, Evan, Jamison, Araeya, Kaylee and Riley. Several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Janet, his son Michael and brother Raymond.
There will be no visiting hours. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1pm on Saturday February 6, 2016, at St. Peters Church in Vergennes. Interment will be in the spring. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison County Humane Shelter in Middlebury, Vt.
