            Winfred (Fred) H. Cousino,88, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2017 at Porter Medical Center.

            He was born in Bristol, June 21, 1928 the son of John W. and Ruth (Brooks) Cousino. He was a member of St. Ambrose Church and a member of The Knights of Columbus.

            Winfred worked for many companies through out his life primarily in building maintenance, including Bristol Landfill, Drake Smith Co., Fletcher Allen Hospital, and retired from Mount Abe High School in 1993.

            When he became unable to care for himself he was fortunate to live with caregivers, Kathy and George Forand, in Bristol until they retired in 2016. He was blessed again to be able to go to Peter & Gail Cousino. Thank you both for taking such good care of our Fred.

            He is survived by his sisters Priscilla (Pat) Wager of Addison; Anna Margaret Cousino and her partner Kirk Fiske of Middlebury; sister-in-law Lucile (Paquette) Cousino; nieces Rosemarie Huizenga (Chuck) and their children; Michelle Arthur (Paul) and their children; many great and great-great nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

            He was predeceased by his parents; his twin brother, Wayne, and brother-in-law, Gerry Wager.

            Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 12th at Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol from 3 to 5 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Monday, February 13th at St. Ambrose Church in Bristol.
